Born and raised in Sydney, Debbie Barakat was exposed to a myriad of cultures and design expressions. She developed an interest in construction, architecture and interior design from a young age but it wasn’t until her first year of Design at the College of Fine Arts at UNSW that made her realise she wanted a career change to a more structured industry of Architecture. She has since then worked with within many design disciplines including custom joinery, furniture, as well as working in construction material supply, allowing her to filter her in-depth experience and knowledge into her designs for interior spaces. She focuses on user experience: creating unique and personalised spaces for her clients that are ultimately designed for their future use in mind.
